Greek Government approved the opening of shops on Sundays at the period May - October. In which areas does this measure have an instant application?

Greek Government voted on Friday 19th May the new Law 4472/2017. In the article 49, there is a legislative provision about the opening of all shops in some specific areas on Sundays for the period between May and October of each year.

 

The provision started the same day in which the Law was voted for the shops in the tourist area of Athens. For the other areas which are Piraeus, South Athens sector, areas around the Airport of Athens and the historical center of Thessaloniki, the decision of the Minister of Economy and Growth is still expected to be issued.
